Note: If you are transferring in an existing co.uk, .org.uk, or .tv domain name for us to manage then there is a one off charge of £19 (there is no charge for you to add a domain to your Designer account and then change the nameservers with your current domain registrar).

If you are transferring in a TLD (.com, .net, .org, .biz. .info) then one years registration cost is charged (which extends the domain's expiry date by 12 months) registration costs can be found here.

For a domain name to be eligible for transfer it must have been registered with its current registrar for at least 60 days and must not expire within the next 15 days. Even if all of these criteria are met, the current registrar may still refuse the transfer for any reason including but not limited to a dispute regarding the domain name or fees for its registration being outstanding. You are advised to check with the current registrar that they will allow a registrar transfer prior to initiating one.

When logged in:

1. select the account you wish to add the new domain(s) from your Current web hosting accounts list
2. then click the Order additional domain

Note: On Designer accounts, once a new domain is purchased YOU must add the new domain as a ADD-ON domain to your account yourself.  To add new accounts/domains to your Designer account: Go to the "Manage Addon Domains" page and enter the additional domain(s).

If you wish to manage your domains yourself then you can choose any registrar of your choice, we have chosen 123-reg here as they are an inexpensive registrar that allows you to manage your domains with relative ease, and if you take the time to manage your own domains then you can make a reasonable cost saving.

Note that almost all registrars will charge to move domains from one registrar to another, and you should check with your chosen registrar before using them.

Here is how to use 123-reg to manage your own domains:

Managing your own domains with a Designer/reseller account - if you have the technical ability and are happy to manage your own domains then one of the most reliable and cost effect methods to buy/transfer in domains to 123-reg - you can manage domains there (changing nameservers etc.) and the costs are low.
This is something we attempt to inform our resellers on our reseller hosting (see additional domains).

If you decide to use 123-reg then changing the nameservers on a domain managed by them is a simple task:

1. Login to 123-reg.co.uk
2. Move to the Manage Domain section and select the domain to be changed then click the Modify domain button.
3. Then click the link "Change Nameservers"
4. Enter your nameservers.

   These can be found in your Seiretto members area: https://www.seiretto.co.uk/clientarea/
   When logged in: select your domain, then click Get Details

   You only need to enter Nameserver1 and Nameserver2.

5. Then click the Change Nameservers button.
   
   You should then receive a success message on screen, if so the domain will point to your web space with us within 24 to 48 hours (but note changes can take as little as a few hours depending upon your network provider, however, it will still take upto 48 hours for email to operate correctly).
